Ravenscroft has been named Investment Specialist of the Year at the European Captive Review Awards 2020.

The award is for Ravenscroft’s cash management team, based in Guernsey and Jersey, which was also shortlisted in the Collateral Specialist category. At the awards, which were held virtually, Guernsey was named European Domicile of the Year.

‘Providing cash management solutions to the captive industry is something we have been doing for more than 25 years and so to receive independent recognition of our expertise is fantastic, particularly after such a challenging and unusual year. Ravenscroft’s award, together with Guernsey being named as European Domicile of the Year, really shows the skills and expertise that can be found in the island,’ said head of cash management Pierre Paul.

In the Investment Specialist of the Year category, the other finalists were Allianz Global Investors and London & Capital and in the Collateral Specialist of the Year category, Ravenscroft was shortlisted together with Barclays, who were named winners, and Wilmington Trust. The cash management team joined Ravenscroft in 2018 and have clients, including investment funds, insurance companies, government bodies, charities, trusts and private individuals in the Channel Islands, UK and Malta.

The European Captive Review Awards are the annual awards for Captive Review magazine which has a readership of 12,000, 60% of whom are captive owners with the rest from captive management firms and the wider captive insurance service provider sector.
