In 2018 Ravenscroft became the sponsor of the Guernsey Cricket Future Stars initiative, aimed at encouraging youngsters to develop a passion for cricket. The programme, which is for girls and boys aged from five to eight, introduces the skills of cricket through various fun based drills.

The programme has been hugely successful on the island and in 2022, 150 youngsters took part in the summer or winter programmes. Ravenscroft and Guernsey Cricket have continued their partnership and more information can be found here

Following the success in Guernsey, we approached the Isle of Man cricket board to develop a partnership for its CricStart programme, which covers CricKids for youngsters aged 3 – 6, CricSoft for those between six and 10, CricFit for 14+, the batting and bowling clinics as well as women’s and girls’ cricket. We agreed a three year partnership for 2021, 2022 and 2023 and this has resulted in a significant increase in the number of young people taking up cricket.
