Ravenscroft takes on significant sponsorship as it rebrands UK business

Ravenscroft is to become the principal partner of Premier League rugby club Bristol Bears as the investment services group brings its UK businesses under the Ravenscroft brand.

The agreement, which is the largest in the Bear’s history, will see the Ravenscroft name on the new home, away and European jerseys for the 2020 / 2021 season. It comes as Vartan Ravenscroft in Peterborough and Tees Investment Management Limited in Bishop’s Stortford rebrand to Ravenscroft and the company, whose chairman is Stephen Lansdown CBE, expands its offering in the UK. The rebrand follows the opening of Ravenscroft in the Isle of Man last month.

‘This is an exciting sponsorship for Ravenscroft and is a celebration of our commitment to grow our UK presence as we bring all of our offices under the Ravenscroft brand. The sponsorship also completes the circle of support with Ravenscroft chairman and owner of Bristol Sport Stephen Lansdown, who I have enjoyed a friendship with since he moved to Guernsey,’

said Ravenscroft group CEO Jon Ravenscroft.

‘Supporting the communities within which we operate is a key pillar of our ethos and it’s fantastic to align that to Bristol Bears’ vision of ‘inspiring community through rugby success’. The Ravenscroft team looks forward to engaging with the Bears, their fans and the wider business community.’

Ravenscroft employs 120 people across its offices in Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the UK and has £7.45bn of assets under administration. It offers execution only trading, advisory investment services, discretionary investment management, market making, corporate finance services, cash management and the dealing in and storage of precious metals.

‘We’re delighted to agree a partnership with Ravenscroft, which signals an exciting new chapter for Bristol Bears. Ravenscroft has built their success on integrity, exceptional customer service and a detailed knowledge of their industry. We share those values at the Bears as we strive to be a leader on and off the field,’

said Bears chief executive Mark Tainton.

Bristol Sport managing director Mark Kelly said: ‘In challenging economic times, the commitment of Ravenscroft to Bristol Bears is a testament to their shared belief in the club’s vision. This is a partnership where we see a number of mutually beneficial opportunities and we look forward to working closely with Ravenscroft and its stakeholders going forward.’
